Anglo–Saxon Activity

03 April to 05 April 2010

Anglo-Saxon Life

This event is managed by the Greenwood Education Centre - Environmental Education and Forest School specialists.

Investigate and experience the tools and crafts of an Anglo-Saxon community.  Wood, metal and fibre based crafts provided the tools and products necessary to sustain a farming society with minimal input from beyond their own horizon.

Various short craft experience sessions are offered at Edcott, our living history development during our regular Volunteer Working Weekends.  Charges and activities on offer will vary but may include grinding corn by hand and baking bread, forging a copper pendant, cord making, simple weaving techniques.

Prices vary according to the activities available (£1.50-£5.00)

This activity runs between 2pm - 4pm.
