Otter Valley Harvest Hub Open Day
14 May 2011
The Otter Valley Harvest Hub is an exciting community project based at Escot. It's permaculture-for-everyone and aims to raise enthusiasm locally for grow your own and to provide an educational centre of excellence on the subject.
As the programme evolves, it will see the historic walled garden restored to the food and flower production role they enjoyed in centuries gone by, and the greenhouses will also be gradually restored.
Food for thought........
We are based in the walled garden at Escot Park, growing organically as far as possible and providing information on using permaculture methods.
Individual growing plots are available for a family membership, or you can come along to learn and help in our communal growing areas.
We are a friendly, supportive team of growers, with an environmentally friendly bias. If you're a beginner, you won't be the first and if you're experienced, your knowledge will be welcome.
Look out for Open Days throughout the year, with activities for all the family and, in the autumn, our Apple Day.
Come along and join us at our Otter Valley Harvest Hub Open Day on Saturday 14 May 2011. You could plant a pumkin or herb pot and help us establish our pumkin patch.
