The Seahorse Trust
The Seahorse Trust was set up to study, conserve, preserve and understand these amazing creatures and it is based at Escot Park. The Seahorse Trust has its headquarters in one of the old stable buildings close to the Aquatic Centre; where there were once horses, now there are Seahorses!
The Trust is known internationally for its research and conservation work and specialises in British Seahorses. Here at the centre we have a few Seahorses on show and information on the work the Trust does around the British Isles, especially at its main project in Studland in Dorset.
Often the centre has seahorse babies on show and there is a second-hand book stall to help raise funds for the Trust's important international work.
