Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions

The Ceremony

We are licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies and so your ceremony can take place in one of Escot's elegant and spacious day rooms.  Or you could get married in a church and come on to Escot after your wedding service.  The choice is yours.  In either case, imagine greeting your guests on the terrace overlooking the lake before moving inside for your reception.

The Wedding Reception

The style you choose will probably depend on how many guests you invite, your budget, and most of all, your personal preferences.

We offer three broad options: a formal wedding banquet with full waiter service; a seated wedding buffet; or a standing buffet when waiters circulate with canapés, although some seating is still provided to cater for the more elderly guests.

Whichever style you choose, the selection of menu, from traditional to exotic, is almost without limit.  Vegetarian options, of course, are always available.  The food is largely home cooked and we source locally wherever possible.

The Evening Festivities

We are particularly fortunate in being able to offer facilities for the wedding ceremony, the wedding reception and the evening festivities, all on one site for your exclusive use.

Escot house has a long tradition for rousing wedding parties. Alternatively, the 19th century Coach House is within walking distance of the house and has a courtyard which can be covered to accommodate up to 200.  It is a popular choice for evening events and has great flexibility to respond to the party theme of your choice.
