At Matt Dingle Blacksmiths and Artistic Metalworkers forge,
situated near the Wetlands at Escot, unique and innovative
ironwork is created.
As well as making interior and exterior furniture and restoring
old architectural ironwork, traditional forged pieces are
still created and all work can be made to order.
Commissions are undertaken for gates, railings, public art
and sculptures, beds, tables, chairs and other furniture
and interior items, fireplace accessories and garden furniture.
Clients include private individuals, interior designers,
architectural companies and local authorities/councils.

Survival School was set up to demonstrate survival
skills and to provide opportunities to learn and practice
those skills. It now sees more than 300 participants a year
complete courses with our instructors, who have over half
a century of experience between them with knowledge from
the Arctic to the jungle and many environments in between. All our instructors are 1st Aid Trained in Remote Emergency
Care.
At
Escot we
are lucky to be able to provide you with the very best of
teaching environments. Before you test your skills
on our Scotland courses, we recommend you learn the fundamentals
of fire lighting, shelter building, food preparation, water
purification and navigation in a more forgiving setting.
The
park has
everything you need. Conifers, Broadleaf trees, fruit
bushes, edible plants and the best outdoor classrooms available. |

The International Tree Foundation has designated Escot as
the site of a new 'Family Wood'. Here, members of the public
can sponsor a tree to mark a special event or perhaps in memory
of a special person. Their names are recorded in a dedication
book which is held at Escot, and the sponsor then has the
right to visit 'their' wood free of charge thereafter.
For further details about tree sponsorship,
please contact the ITF's Devon representative Annabel Branney
