Perfect planning from Escot House - our event was perfect from start to finish
A great space for…?
Escot Estate has a history of hosting a wide range of events. With over 1,000 acres of grounds available including 250 acres of parkland, we have the space and experience to help you get your event off the ground.
Below are just some of the events that have been held at Escot, and if you have an idea for your own event, we’ll be more than happy to talk about it.
Escot has been the venue for the Exeter RockSolid since it started in 2013. A full-on obstacle course with plenty of mud and water, the event is the ultimate for individuals and teams who want to push themselves to the max (minimum age 16). The combination of fun, personal satisfaction and hot showers afterwards have made this a must-do annual event!
Escot has hosted the Beautiful Days Festival every August since 2003. The annual festival was founded by the Levellers and is very much a family music festival. The site includes six stages, site art, a huge children’s area, comedy, theatre, family camping, licensed real ale bars from Otter Brewery and a vibrant selection of food and craft stalls. 15,000 friendly revellers enjoy the beautiful atmosphere each year. The popular festival won UK Best Family Festival 2012 and UK Best Grassroots Festival 2015.
In recent years, Escot Estate has opened the parkland for a variety of concerts. We have enjoyed sessions from JLS, Diversity, Australian Pink Floyd, James Morrison and The Feeling. The parkland is an ideal concert venue, with great access and plenty of space.
Fun Days, Balls and Barn Dances
We have hosted fun days, balls and barn dances at Escot both for fundraising, and private and corporate parties, such as a family fun day and BBQ for staff of Eclipse, a barn dance for Ashfords LLP and balls for Colyton Church Preservation Society. We can provide a marquee on the lawn for larger events.
Film and TV location
The unique ambiance and setting of the property makes Escot a superb location choice for both period and modern films and television programmes. The house was previously a location for a Rosamunde Pilcher film.
The Estate provides a flexible location and has been used for many other events, including:
- Product launches
- Dog training
- Craft and game fairs
- International clay pigeon shoots
- Car shows and cycling events
- Vintage car rallies and caravan rallies
- Historical re-enactments
