2025 at Escot

Another great year at Escot, and a significant one as we held the final wedding at the house.

The beginning of the year was busy with conferences and private events including birthday parties, anniversaries and memorials.

March saw our first craft fair of two this year. Organised by Gill at Silver Ripples Jewellery, the ‘Spring Showcase’ attracted lots of talented makers, and plenty of customers eager to snap up something lovely for Mother’s Day.

Sportiva Events returned with their Gravel Races, for bikes and runners. They’ve booked again for March 28th and 29th in 2026! Book here.

In May we were delighted to welcome back Sparx for a teambuilding event. They said: “We had a great time at Escot, thank you so much for accommodating us! We had such positive feedback from staff. This is our second time hosting a team-building day at Escot, and we will definitely be back!”

Also in May, we opened the house to a reunion of teachers, who enjoyed an afternoon tea and appreciated both the space and the gardens.

In July we said farewell to our beloved cat, Toushi. As a kitten she was discovered in a barn – but found a warm, loving home with us at Escot House. She was much beloved by visitors to the house, and often stole the show at weddings! Toushi is much missed.

Speaking of which, on July 25th, we hosted our final wedding when Deniz and Neill tied the knot. After 31 years of weddings, the day was quite emotional for us all. We’re still running plenty of other events, but those wedding days were always special.

August, of course, is when Beautiful Days comes to Escot Park. This year’s headliners were Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls (Friday), Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter (Saturday) and the Levellers on Sunday. Tickets for the 2026 festival are now on sale.

We had an Autumn craft fair in October, which was another huge success. We heard lots of positive comments about the range and quality of the artisan products on show. We look forward to the next one, hopefully in the Spring of 2026.

In December we introduced our latest addition to corporate facilities, an interactive screen. The first users were Aspire Social Services, who enjoyed a festive team day at Escot complete with Christmas crackers and fancy dress outfits.

The annual ‘Festive Jolly Running’ 10K event took place on Sunday 14th December, with its usual assortment of amazing fancy dress costumes, always a sight to behold!

So now, we sign off on another successful year and look forward to everything 2026 has to bring. With thanks to all our clients, old and new, and to all the wonderful wedding parties who celebrated at Escot over the years. Have a great Christmas and a happy New Year.
