It’s nearly time for Escot Park to rock to the sound of Beautiful Days 2019!
Escot has hosted the festival every August since 2003. The annual festival was founded by the Levellers and is very much a family music festival. The site includes six stages, site art, a huge children’s area, comedy, theatre, family camping, licensed real ale bars from Otter Brewery and a vibrant selection of food and craft stalls. 15,000 friendly revellers enjoy the beautiful atmosphere each year. The popular festival won UK Best Family Festival 2012 and UK Best Grassroots Festival 2015.
This year, headline acts for the Main Stage include Skunk Anansie, Ziggy Marley and of course, the Levellers. At the Big Top, Songhoy Blues, Hothouse Flowers and Steeleye Span. Regular festival-goers know that Sunday is dress-up day! The theme for 2019 Sunday theme is Fairy Tales, so expect to see a cornucopia of elves, fairies, giants, gnomes, dragons, witches, princesses and wizards! Better still, dress up too and join in the fun.
This year for the first time, there will be no single use plastic drinks bottles for sale. You can bring them onsite but the festival organisers would so much prefer you to bring refillable bottles.You can then help yourself to as much water as you need from the taps and water points on site. Look out for the FRANK Water stations and roaming tanks too. They will provideg unlimited refills of filtered, chilled water when you purchase a refillable FRANK bottle or a FRANK Water wristband, as long as you have your own bottle.
Foodwise you’ll be totally spoilt for choice as usual – and you really have to visit the onsite real ale bars run by our friends at Otter Brewery.
Please be patient when arriving and leaving, as with any festival there are bound to be queues.
