Your wedding dress is an all-important choice. No doubt you want something beautiful, eye-catching, extraordinary – and definitely something that makes you the star attraction on the day! But such a dress can come with a huge price tag, especially if you really do want that designer look. And then what do you do with it afterwards?
Well, we recently learned about an initiative that not only offers designer gowns at lower prices but also gives you the option to donate.
Brides Do Good is a sustainable bridal boutique in Fulham that launched in early November.
The idea is that the boutique sells new, sample and pre-loved designer wedding gowns. Some fantastic designers in the collection, including local designer Romantica of Devon who are based in Tiverton, Diane von Furstenberg, Vivienne Westwood and Alfred Angelo. The prices are very affordable!
What’s even more exciting is that appointment fees and up to two thirds of sales are donated to charity projects. The projects have been chosen from those that empower young girls, educate communities and strive to end child marriage.
That is a wonderful and extraordinary initiative and we fully applaud the ethos.
If you’re already married you can donate your wedding dress. If you’ve bought one from them, simply donate it back again.
Here at Escot we are dedicated to providing an affordable wedding venue option to couples. For us, it’s important that you have the day you dream of within a budget you can afford. That’s why we offer a brilliant-value price, including our £5.5K package available all year round, any day of the week.
So – you can get married in a beautiful dress, have a gorgeous wedding venue, help charity projects and not break the bank! What’s not to like?
Good luck to Brides Do Good, it’s an inspired idea.
