December update!

It was quite a surprise to realise that we are now in December. The weather has been so mild apart from a few very cold days, and we’ve enjoyed blue skies and flowers in the garden that would normally be well past their ‘sell by’ date!

After a flurry of wonderful weddings in September we moved on into the autumn with a marked increase in bookings for conferences.

Conferences, seminars and training days did take a hit from the pandemic, but we’re so pleased to welcoming delegates back to the house. On some days all three of our lovely day rooms have been booked out.

This also means the catering team has been busy creating tasty buffet lunches and, of course, Lynsey has been busy baking her legendary cakes and biscuits for coffee breaks!

The gardens and Estate have been filled with exquisite autumn colour, although most of the leaves fell with the recent high winds. The bugs and wildlife in the garden will be happily making use of this natural source of food and shelter.

As we head towards Christmas there is now the latest twist in the Covid story happening. It’s early days so we all have to wait and see what happens. Feel assured that at Escot we continue to keep your safety our highest priority, and will be following government updates and guidelines carefully.

Stay safe and see you soon.
