Have you ever taken part in a Jolly Running Event? Well here’s your chance!
Jolly Running will be back at Escot on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of December with their Christmas races.
The Extremely Jolly race on the Saturday is one of Jolly Running’s most popular events as the 7.5 mile course is full of fun and surprises as the route takes in all the beauty of the estate with the House as the backdrop for the event. It offers a variety of trails, mud, woodland tracks, paths, streams, quaint bridges, fields and a few water crossings. The biggest surprise is one that is completely unique to Jolly Running… nestled in one of our fields is a 30 metre waterslide which will have you screaming with laughter and will definitely get you in the festive spirit.
Christmas is a time for having fun and spending it with friends and family and this is the perfect event to do that as there is also a Little Elves 1 mile fun run which also incorporates the waterslide so that children can experience it too. This is for all children over the age of 8 years, adults can enter too.
Sunday’s events cater for those runners wanting to clock up a greater distance. The Escot Christmas Marathon and Escot Christmas Half Marathon are laps around Escot where you can also try the waterslide. The waterslide is optional and you can omit it from your run, experience it on each lap or save it until your finale as you approach the end of the race. Once finished you are awarded with a bespoke medal, a Christmas bandana and a Georgie Porgie’s Pudding’s Christmas pudding, including a vegan option.
There will be hot food and refreshments available to purchase from the vendors for all runners and spectators.
Each year Jolly Running use the Extremely Jolly event to donate money to charity and this year the chosen charities are Pancreatic Cancer Action and the Stanley Beau Foundation.
