Escot’s grounds have been used for many events over the years. The most well known perhaps is Beautiful Days Festival, but the grounds are also used for all sorts of smaller events.
Cyclo-cross, cross country runs, Tough Mudder – and just recently, the Muddy Dog Challenge!
The Muddy Dog Challenge is organised at venues around the country by Battersea to fundraise for its centres.
The Challenge is a 2.5K or 5K obstacle course that people take on with their dogs. The course can be tackled with friends or family and even without a dog – although for most participants that’s the fun bit. The dogs of course love the chance to get wet and muddy (as do the owners!)
Everyone taking part raised money for Battersea, helping the charity to continue providing love and care for the thousands of lost, abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats that come into its care.
A huge congratulations to everyone who tackled the Escot course. There was plenty of mud, plenty of laughter and plenty of happy pooches! Muddy Dog Challenge
Coming up next at Escot are the annual festive runs organised by Jolly Running. Fancy dress not obligatory – but definitely encouraged!
