What an amazing summer we’ve had so far! Plenty of sunshine, perhaps a little too hot for some at times, but currently ideal temperatures in the early 20s. It’s the perfect weather for outdoor activities, but we all know British summers can be unpredictable.
When planning a corporate fun day, one of the most important considerations is finding a venue that can cater to any weather conditions. Fortunately, Escot House in East Devon offers an incredibly versatile and adaptable setting for corporate events, with options that will ensure your day runs smoothly, no matter what the weather throws at us.
A venue for all seasons
At Escot House, we’re incredibly fortunate to have a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces that offer something for every type of corporate event. Whether you’re looking to enjoy the sun or need a sheltered space in the rain, Escot’s diverse facilities have you covered.
Engaging activities for every weather condition
One of the most important parts of any corporate fun day is the activities. We’ve teamed up with our trusted activity partners, Devon Country Pursuits, who offer a wide range of exciting and engaging activities. Whether you’re enjoying the sunshine or braving a sudden shower, their activities are designed to be just as fun in all weather conditions. In fact, some guests say the obstacle course is even more thrilling when it’s a little wet!
From outdoor adventure challenges to fun indoor games, our activity partners ensure that the entertainment keeps flowing, rain or shine. Should the weather take a turn for the worse, rest assured that indoor activities are readily available within Escot House itself, giving you plenty of options to keep the energy high and the atmosphere fun-filled.
Catering tailored to your event
No corporate fun day is complete without food, and Escot House excels in providing fantastic catering options that are perfect for every occasion. Whether you’re hosting an outdoor barbecue or opting for a traditional buffet, we’ve got everything covered.
Our large, well-equipped barbecue is perfect for grilling delicious treats for your team, and we always ensure that dietary needs are catered for (please let us know in advance!). Buffets are a popular choice, and we offer a delightful array of options that include both classic favourites and more adventurous bites, catering to all tastes and dietary requirements.
If the weather turns and rain threatens to dampen the outdoor festivities, no problem – all the catering can be seamlessly moved indoors (except for the barbecue, of course!) to ensure your guests can continue enjoying the delicious food in a cosy, sheltered space. And if Lady Kennaway is available, she might even brave the rain with an umbrella while manning the barbecue herself!
Your perfect fun day
At Escot House, we pride ourselves on our flexibility and versatility. We understand that every corporate event is unique, and that’s why we offer a broad range of options for your corporate fun day.
In an ideal world, the day will be bright and sunny, and your guests will be enjoying outdoor activities such as Segway Olympics, archery, laser tag in our specially created adventure zone, or go-karting around our tracks. If your team prefers something more relaxed, why not indulge them with a classic cream tea, complete with fresh Devon strawberries, enjoyed on the lawn? Alternatively, you can make the occasion a little more festive with glasses of prosecco or Pimms for your team to enjoy while mingling in the beautiful surroundings.
For a fun twist on traditional games, you could opt for garden favourites such as Giant Jenga, hook-a-duck, or a friendly game of croquet. These activities are always a hit, whether your team is looking for light-hearted competition or simply an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a more leisurely way.
