Planning a wedding can sometimes become a major production for everyone concerned; the bride and groom, the family and even the guests.
Have you received a ‘save the date’ notification for 2021? Or maybe even 2022! While there is absolutely no reason not to give yourself time to organise your wedding exactly the way you want it, for some couples a year is plenty of time to sort out the wedding of their dreams. Some want to organise it even more quickly.
Some couples may take mere months to sort out their wedding, particularly if it is going to be a smaller event. So, what do you need to think about if you decide that you want to have your wedding sooner rather than later?
The very first thing you need to do is to find your venue. Some venues are booked up for years in advance, so it may take a little time, especially if you have an idea of the type of venue you ideally want. It’s the same story with caterers, wedding photographers, florists. Start the hunt for your wedding dress quickly, as this often takes time. As soon as you have your date, contact your family and friends to give them as much notice as possible. Some might not be able to make it, but so long as all the important guests are available for your proposed date, what’s stopping you?
You may need to scale down some of your ideas to fit in with your timescales, but the chances are if you have decided to organise your wedding quickly, you’ll be the type of person who goes with the flow.
At Escot we will work our magic to fit your wedding into our schedule. From choice, we don’t book huge numbers of weddings, so we may well be able to sneak yours in. Remember you will have to be flexible! Our catering is in-house and we will help you to find local wedding suppliers for your special day.
We are proud to offer a wonderfully atmospheric venue with a relaxed attitude. We will work with you to get everything ready for your big day, even if it is only a few months’ away. Get in contact with us to arrange a viewing and discuss how you want your ‘quickie’ wedding day to be.
