  1. Olivia Kennaway Red Squirrel photo

A framed print (approximately 39x31cm) of the ‘The smell of spring’ by Olivia Kennaway. This image won Nikon’s photo of the month and captures the inquisitive nature of the red squirrel as this individual takes a sniff of the daffodils.

  1. No1 print of Commissioned painting for RSSW by local wildlife artist – Eleanor Ludgate

The no1 print of a very limited edition commissioned by a benefactor for Red Squirrel South West by local wildlife artist, Eleanor Ludgate. Eleanor produced this item for her ‘Devon’s Nature in Art’ collection and was inspired by the free-range red squirrels in the walk-through enclosure at Escot Park.

  1. A day sail and picnic in Poole harbour

A day sail in the Solent area with sumptuous picnic on board – possibly to be enjoyed in an anchorage on the Isle of Wight or on the beautiful Beulieu River in the New Forest. The day would suit a party of 2-3 people and all refreshments will be provided! You will be sailing on board ‘Stowaway’, a classic 32ft 1964 Camper & Nicholson sloop. We can do as much or as little sailing as you like, alsodependant on the weather, of course!

  1. Fishing Flies Display

Red and grey squirrel tails have been used for centuries in the noble art of fly tying and are in fact one of the finest materials in the world especially when dyed, producing a range of famous salmon and sea-trout flies. Charles Dutton has mounted a unique display of fishing flies made from grey squirrel tails onto a small wooden branch.

  1. Dog & hawk experience

A half day countryside experience to include gundogs, a free flying harris hawk and ferreting about with Gamegoer Country Displays. As seen at Devon County Show, Countryfile Live, Children in Need and many other prestigious events. Bring your own dogs along and benefit from one to one training; be they working dogs or pets, with a professional trainer surviving 40 years in the trade. Race ferrets, outwit the know-all spaniel, and other hilarious fun & games! Light refreshments provided. A very fun and interesting event for any family or four adults.

  1. Stourhead private garden tour and lunch for 2

Generously donated by a member of the family. Guided walk for 2 around the world famous Stourhead Gardens, a 1,072-hectare estate in Wiltshire in the company of Edward Hoare an environmental philanthropist who was born in the House. With hills, water and classical architecture overlaid by a fabulous collection of trees and shrubs, Stourhead was described as ‘a living work of art’ when first opened in the 1740s. Meandering paths offer vistas through trees to classical temples and surprises at every turn. Followed by lunch at the Spread Eagle Inn, a pub set in the estate.

  1. Squirrel sculpture

The ‘Hope’ squirrel cold-cast copper sculpture was a unique piece of artwork designed by Kirsty Armstrong for the Red Squirrel Survival Trust’s 2012 volunteer of the year awards. They were presented at Alnwick castle by his Grace the Duke of Northumberland and has been generously donated to us by one of the winners.
