We were really delighted to receive a wonderful gift through the letterbox recently, with a lovely note. The gift was a sketch of a little barn in the apple orchard.
It was a thank you from Maria Bower who said: “I wanted to give you a copy in appreciation of our being able to come to such a lovely estate and the benefit that has had during this difficult year, not just us but all the people who come here to walk or cycle.”

After some investigation we discovered that Maria is a locally based graphic designer (Blue Sunflower Creative). What a kind thought!
Just as a reminder that there are a number of permissive footpaths and we do kindly ask visitors to keep to these paths. Maps are available on the paths to refer to where you can go.

Please note that a permissive footpath is just that – it is not a public right of way and occasionally may be closed because of agricultural or estate works.
Regular visitors will know that there isn’t vehicular access to the Estate unless on business, but we do allow walkers to park on the handstanding near the River Tale.
It goes without saying that we expect all walkers with dogs to pick up their mess.
Once again thank you to Maria, your thoughts and gesture are much appreciated.
