The Wedding Express is a portable miniature railway that can come to Escot as part of your wedding fun. It can be used as an unusual backdrop for your wedding photographs, or as a wonderful ride for your guests (large and small) to enjoy.
History
The 10 1/4 gauge diesel train is called the Exmouth Express and for years was enjoyed by visitors to the fun park on the seafront. The train was removed in 2017 when the fun park was closed. But where did it go?
In 2019 the search began and the Exmouth Express was eventually found in Lapa Valley in Cornwall, left to rust. The train returned to Devon in March 2020 and during the pandemic was lovingly restored. The wheels were replaced, new running gear and brakes added and a brand new engine fitted. The body work was improved and a cab put back on the locomotive.
