Your ceremony of choice
We understand that, while some couples still want a church wedding, for others the chance to be married at a venue of their choosing is a priority.
Escot Estate is fully licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. Opt for one of our elegant day rooms − the White Room, Kennaway Room or the Library − for a magical, informal ceremony. Huge windows in the White Room and Library can be opened up to give access to the terrace and lawns with splendid views across the private parkland and lake.
You can also have an outdoor ceremony using our beautiful gardens – perfect for Spring and Summer weddings. For a ‘legal’ marriage the registrar must be inside, but you can stand on the steps outside the Library or White Room with the registrar just inside. If you’re using a celebrant, you can have the entire ceremony in the garden.
You will need to book your registrar or we can put you in touch with a local wedding celebrant.
Whether the ceremony is at Escot House, a church or somewhere entirely different, we will be ready for you when you arrive. Imagine, as a newly wedded couple, greeting your guests on the terrace overlooking the lake before moving inside for your reception.
